I grew up on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island, the home of pounamu ( Jade ) where I and friends and family were always retrieving stones from rivers and beach.
My experience with Jade started with the Mountain Jade business where I learned the skill of Jade carving and after two years of this I decided to shift to Queenstown where I found employment at the Jade factory.
Here I could hone my skills before I decided to start carving from home in my own studio and have been doing so since 2002.
I will be at the market most saturdays and appreciate it if you check out my range of quality Jade pieces.
