Market Guidelines

Selling of goods

  • Products to be handmade by the stall holder with a high creative content.
  • You can not sell another artists product on behalf unless prior arrangements made with the Market Manager.
  • No import or second hand goods to be sold.
  • The committee reserves the right to limit the number and types of stalls.
  • Goods must be approved by the Market Manager.
  • Initial licence fee of $ 20.00.
  • Renewal of licenec $ 10.00 per year.
  • Stall holder fee on market days $ 25.00.
  • Licenced stall holders must have any new products approved before sale.
  • Display area or stall must be of a good standard.
  • Parking / Unloading and Loading

  • Unload your gear directly onto the footpath at Earnslaw Park.
  • Move your vehicle to free parkings where available or Man street parking @ $ 5.00 / day
  • Setup your site designated by Market Manager at given time.
  • At closing time, move your gear onto the footpath before getting your vehicle !

Set up times

  • Summer time;
  •  
  • November 1st - 30th April
  • Set up stall from 8.00 am
  • Shut down stall at 4.30 pm
  • Earnslaw Park to be cleared by 5.30 pm

 

  • Winter time ;
  •  
  • May 1st - October 31st
  • Set up stall from 8.30 am
  • Shut down stall at 3.30 pm
  • Earnslaw park to be cleared by 5.00 pm

Dates

  • The market is held every Saturday throughout the year.
  • If there is bad weather then a decision will be made on-site by the Market Manager.
  • Winter Fetsival dates vary every year.

Sites

  • Stall holder to provide there own tables and shelter.
  • No stakes are to be driven in the ground and no screws in the wooden decking.
  • All rubbish to be removed before leaving.
  • No smoking or drinking alcohol at stall site at any time ! ( licence might be revoked )

Retailer concent

  • If you supply a retailer in Queenstown with your products then you must have their written
    concent to sell those products at the market.
